Default will it fit.............
Will an 08 Street Bob hub and axle fit with 06-07 Street Bob lower forks? I have read/heard conflicting info.

Don´t think it will fit. The 06-07 has 1" axle. The 08 has 25mm (1"=25,4mm) for some reason. Maybe because it´s Japanese Showa that makes the forks... don´t know.

Mybe you can get 1" bearings for the 08 hub.

Bosken is right. 25mm axle in 08, 1" in 06-07.

Thanks guys, that is what I thought I just wanted to make sure. Now to find an 06-07 hub.

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the 25mm bearings with 1" bearings in the stock hub?

Thanks guys, I haven't worked on a HD in 20 years. All this metric/SAE stuff is starting to remind me of early 80's Fords.
