For some reason my alarm light seems to come on while Im riding. I looked in the book, and it said that I needed to rest the system. I did that and now the light is on again. Is anyone else having this problem? If so how did you fix it??
That's pretty damn cool! With that info, I just found that mine was flashing because of a "turn signal output" error, one code for each side. Because I changed all my bulbs to LED's without installing a load equalizer. That's what I figured anyway and sort of expected it to happen. Who says fuel injected bikes are too complicated.
My alarm system has locked out the starter function. Battery is fully charged, I used both key fobs (just in case one of them had failed) used my pin code to override and in each case the system just flashes the turn indicators. Starter switch is dead. Bike is a 07 lowrider like new.
guna bump this in hopes that someone has a fix for lowhog's problem. my wife's 08 883L is doing the same thing. fuses all look good, did the error code check and there are no error codes logged - says "nonE" on each stop P S ST and the t & b show no rsp.
she sat for a while and when my wife tried to start her, 3 days ago and we started getting this. thing hasn't been beat on or abused and all the pieces are intact and attached.
we trickle charged the battery for about 3 hours and got the same response from the bike.
lowhog...Great Bike, I have the same one...I bought my bike used in July and when I went to check it out it started up just fine. Went to get a helmut to test ride her and she wouldn't start, Same problem starter switch would not work, signals kept flashing and the red light on the speedo was blinking. The guy did not know the override and neither keyfob would work. We got new batteries for the keyfob and the system has been fine ever since. If that fails disconnect the battery and let the system drain down and reset itself. If all else fails remove the security module.....Not sure what good it is anyway.....If I was going to steal the bike I would pull the main fuse which would disable the security system....Hope this help...
