it would be nice just dont know for sure if it is legal in iowa.does anybody have any ideal if it is or not.that much cost i would like to know before i started down the road of changeing.

I'd be willing to bet that most police don't know what is or isn't a stock tail light.
There are so many models of bikes out there and they have more important things to worry about.
I'd say that as long as it functions and is bright enough you won't be bothered. I would want it to be very noticeable anyway.
I had a State cop behind me with this set up and was a little nervous...especially being in stop and go traffic, but it must have looke legit to him.

Come on guys don't be scared, ctart cutting. I have done several flush mount plates and taillights. It is a bit intimidating at first, but once you make your first cut your commited. It reall cleans things up. There are great LED solutions to lights these days.
