Default Shifter Peg

Good morning all. What is the correct way to remove the stock shifter peg on a 2006 SuperGlide? Thank you.

A pair of Vise Grips is what I used.
Once you get it broke loose it screws out pretty easy.

Vise grips worked for me, althought I did add a lot of determination - it was on pretty tight!!!

I wouldn't use vice grips. Get a set of allen sockets. They will work alot better for the pegs and you'll get alot of use out of them. A full set of torx bits is a good idea also but I just bought the bits by themselves and use them with a socket.

used vice grips and it took just a little force to break it loose... not much at all and this on a 6 year old bike! took the vice grips off and threaded it out by hand after that

The stock shifter peg is screwed on - it doesn't use an allen bolt for attachment.
