I would stay with the HD battery. Ialso understand they are a bit pricey now. At the same time get a smart battery tender plus with the pigtail you can put on the battery while you are installing it. If you're not going to ride it much I would suggest to keep the battery plugged in, it's an AGM battery thing. Good Luck.
