Congrats on your new purchase.. I have the exact same one ( color, exhaust, but new bars and headlight) in an 04 model and it has never given a spec of trouble.

Just remember - the price of the bike was only a down payment on accessories....

Congrates on the bike. I just got mine awhile back, and it has been one change after another.

What kind of seat did you change it up to? What kind of benefits did you get from the change?

Thanks for all the comments on me getting my first bike. I've pounded out about 1000km driving around the city since Thursday, and Tuesday/Wednesday I'll take it on its first road trip on the Columbia Icefields Parkway... might be chilly, but who cares... I'm so pumped about this thing that I think I'll stay warm

For 2 up seats the Mustang Wide Touring Vintage is the way to fly, I think if I had to do it over, I would get it in 2 pieces so I could easily fly solo.

I've had my 99 almost a year now, my first bike also. Decided to get a new Road King for two up riding, but so far that is about the only time it comes out. Rather ride the WG any day.... Wish I would have bought a new WG and found a garage queen tourer instead of the other way around.... No biggy, there's always tomorrow!
