Do you like the tinted or clear windshield? I am looking to buy a QD for the colder months but not sure if I would want a lightly tinted shield or clear.

 

I have a Memphis Shades clear fading to black...you can still see thru the black. Also, not QD in the sense that you just pull it off. 4 hex head attachments. I'd call it a pretty quick detach shield...it's nice getting that wind off your chest on long rides and does help when the temp drops.

I like the tint on my Deuce. It doesn't look as cheep as the clear IMO.

 

Tinted - and definitely must look at the HD windshields with the quick detach. Thro 4 levers and it is on or off - less than 15 seconds to put on or take off. Love mine.

 

Okay, tinted it is. Now I have to decide on low profile or standard height. I'm 6' tall.

 

I got the tinted HD quik release and its still easy to see through. Its not very dark at all.

Get the standard height the low profile will be to short for you.

I am 5'7 and went with the standard, I did have to cut it down some to be the right height but it is still taller than the low profile.

 

I've been looking also. You can pick up a standard height cheaper that a lower profile and then cut it down. I'm thinkin that maybe the way to go. There are alot of different models.57300-06 model looks like it has only one set of clamps its on ebay new for 259.00

 

prefer no w/shield, no helmet buffeting issues. but if must choose, go w/ clear. smoke shield still no great in rain/night.
