Shortly after having my dealer install a Stage II 103" big bore kit, SE Stage I a/c, Vance & Hines Staightshot slip-ons and tuner on my '08 Superglide, I noticed that the speedometer doesn't return to O mph while stopped or parked. It rests anywhere from 1 1/2 mph to 4 mph. I took the bike back to the dealer, and after 2 days in the shop the service manager told me that Harley says that is "normal".
Has anyone else seen this. I don't understand why this would be considered normal and since it is inconsistent, what is it doing at 60 mph? Seems to me that it would be a bad servo inside the head. I have looked at the speedo's on more bikes than I can count, and every one rested at O mph when parked.
Anyone have any ideas on this.
Thanks.
