Im not great at writing things up but here goes

the bracket is fairly simple. I used memphis shades quick detach brackets from my windshield as a start.I thought that would be good because its adjustable up and down a few inches and tilts forward and back a bit. The faring i got was from http://www.granpas.com/Caddy%20Fair.htm . Best price i found and granpa is a person to deal with

I used the strapping steel with the holes in it to get the initial measurements. then used 3/16 flat bar to make the final bracket, one piece that connects the windshield brackets then 2 going from the top mounts point of the windshield bracket to the mounting points on the faring.

I clamped everything together to get the position right with my headlight. I'm thinking about adding another set of braces in the middle of the upper bracket to help wit a bit of the vibration in the windshield. The stock headlight would throw my measurements off, but i was thinking about making a plate where the headlight sets in the fairing and then mounting a heritage style headlight in it.

Once i did that i tack welded it then reput the fairing on to make sure it was right. I did change the way the lower bracket was mounted from the pics i took ( ill try and get some new pics ) . It works better and mounts cleaner. The lower mounting bracket is a small piece of angle and a piece of flat bar

Long winded post but i hope that helps. Any? just ask ill try and help. Also if your near the Pa Md Wv area id be glad to lend a hand with yours

For those with an experience with them:
Do you think the clamps used with the detach windshields would be adequate to fasten the batwing type fairing to the forks and be safe on the highway? to clarify, I am asking about the 4 clamps that hold onto the 49mm forks on my street bob. or even 6 of them.

My friend sent me this, but It doesn't fit on a dyna.

I was gonna put a fatboy front end on mine and buy this fairing with stereo for $799....
