New guy here from Austin, Texas. Bought an '09 Street Bob a week and a half ago. I have about 600 miles on her right now. Went for a ride earlier and at the first stop I heard a mild sort of clunk noise and felt a shudder through the left foot peg when I hit the brakes. It's really odd. I thought it was the jiffy stand, but it seems fine and isn't hitting the frame. I watched and can't see it move or anything when I hit the brakes.
I'm planning to take it to the dealer tomorrow, but figured I'd hit you guys up for some suggestions. I'd rather ride tomorrow than spend time at the dealer.
I will almost bet you that it is the stand. I have the same issue and I think that it only happens when the rubber piece that wraps around the frame, rotates and you might need to adjust it. You could also get a spring with more tension in it. Hope this helps.

I'm thinking it's the stand too. I went out and took another look a few minutes ago now that the bike has cooled down, I found a screw hole that's near the pin where the stand mounts to the frame. No screw, so I found one that fit and went for a ride. First stop it still shuddered, went to a parking lot and hit the brakes really hard a few times and the shuddering went away. Odd, maybe it was the missing screw or brake chatter resonating through the frame. Figure I'll hit the dealer tomorrow and see if there's supposed to be a screw in that hole.
Anyway, thanks for the reply. I think this forum will be a great help as I rack up more miles and start modding the Street Bob.
