Default exhaust

has anyone tried it with the Stock exhaust on yet? Because most sites are saying that the Kuryakyn extended forward controls are only compatible with that model if the stock exhaust has been removed and replaced with a staggered type dual system. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2008, with stock exhaust, and the kit worked fine. I initially thought the brake rod wouldn't work, it was hitting the front header pipe, but I found if you thread it out a little further from the master cylinder, you'll get the clearance between the rod and pipe you need. Basically, it's a geometry exercise. The clearance is close, but there IS an orientation of the brake rod at the Z bend that will allow it to reach the pedal and still clear the pipe. I can take a picture this evening if you'd like.
