i believe it requires a separte purchase of mounting hardware

edit....nevermind....the quick release just clamps on and off

Ditto on the ease of the quick release. However, if you're like me and just leave it on, you could save some coin by going with the detachable one. From what I'm told, the detachable just takes a minute to remove with an allen wrench. The quick release just takes a second (but is more expensive).
