Does anyone have, or know where I can get a plain black round mirror? I'm leaning toward the bar end mirrors like "sickwithit" has but wanted to see if I can find a standard mounting one. Thanks
I wanted the same thing with plain, straight stems, same as stock. Couldn't find em so... I bought chrome, broke out the mirrors, disassembled, powdercoated & then replace the mirrors.
They were exactly what I wanted on my old school sportster.
Have you thought about hanging them (up-side-down in the stock location holes)under those apes?

Just made a black one for my Nightster. Originally 'twas a 3" round chrome mirror. Sanded the chrome with some 320 grit, masked the mirror surface, shot some rattlecan primer, then shot the black. Stem was an old one I had; cut it to the length I wanted, sanded, primed, painted it. Mounted it below the stock Nightster bars on the left side.
I'm starting to think of just going with the bar end mirror....hell, thats why I took them off in the first place....they look goofy sticking up on my bars.
I too just taped off the mirror, shot primer and then flat black. Worked out great. I just seen a mirror that was able to mount to anywhere on the bars with a clamp like piece, then it could be lenghten out or made shorter by a straight bar connected to it. I will see if I can find it, then post here. Not sure if it is what you want or not, but just an idea.
