Stoplight Tripper Magnet
Any ideas on where I should [or shouldn't] mount this magnet-thingy to the frame? There's a pretty good spot on the RR corner, just under the rear brake reservoir...

I put 2 of them on my Dyna and it still wouldn't open the gate in my development. Met the gate guy while he was fixing it and he showed me where to go over the cut in the pavement (the line that is parallel to the bike) and it opens every time now!
There's not enough steel in the bike to trip some traffic lights...in theory (lol) the magnetic field is supposed to assist with that. But results are mixed.
What you need to do is let the local DPW know that the sensors are not tripping for a motorcycle. They are supposed to be set for us, but no one checks them and they do get out of wack. In WI you can run the red if the lite doesn't change in 45 seconds and there is no other traffic
