Or 4 piece and 4 scerws. I had copy of SE brace on my FXR. Looks nice but I don`t feel much difference . But know it works - brace makes fork "stiffer".
Fork braces are really a hot topic on other motorcycle forums. I put one on my DL1000 V-Strom, and the difference was amazing. One of the best bang-for-the-buck mods that I'm aware of. I could tell the difference immediately, just turning out of my driveway. I think the skinny forks on my 05 SG will benefit greatly from the fork brace, and I plan to get one soon.
The one I had was made by Murph's Kits. Great company, great product, but I don't know that they make them for HD's.
Install Instructions: Out of curiosity, I emailed SuperBrace.Com to get the install instructions (I have a 2007 FXDC Super Glide Custom). Here is what they sent back to me - should be similar for all Dynas except for the P/N:
Installation instructions Fits Model: Harley-Davidson Dyna: Super Glide, Street Bob & Lowrider
Years: (2006-2008)
1. Place motorcycle on center stand. (If your motorcycle is not equipped with a center stand, place a block device under the stand to make the motorcycle as upright as possible without it being over center.)
2. Remove any existing fork bridge or brace.
3. Remove any existing plastic fork guards (if applies).
4. Disassemble SuperBrace.
5. Loosen axle pinch bolts.
Assemble SuperBrace 1/8" below fork seals. NOTE: Should the fender prevent installing the SuperBrace at this height, place a piece of paper (such as this instruction sheet) between the SuperBrace and the fender and follow the next step.
Torque SuperBrace bolts to 10 ft. pounds. (Remove paper if used)
Re-torque axle pinch bolts to factory specification.
IMPORTANT: Before riding, bounce the front end of motorcycle and cycle the suspension to insure brake lines and horn Do Not contact the brace. It may be necessary to move or purchase after market brake lines and horn.

Thanks, I get it now. BTW some members asked to see pics of dynas with the superbrace installed but without fender. I saw at least two such pics in the photo gallery (just click "Your pics") in the link above.
Glad to see this post generated so many good, informational replies. My objective was to share with everyone what a great mod this turned out to be. And we all know that a bike that handles nicely is better than one that handles like ****.
The vibe on these, everywhere, is overwhelmingly positive. I know several experienced tuners and racers who swear that this one mod is the most effective you can do to any bike to enhance its rideability. It can really transform a bike you like into one you love.
I don't have anything more to add, except that when my other goodies flop over the wall that I have on the way, I'll shine the girl up and post some better pics of what she looks like with her dancin' garter in place.
For now....water for my horses, beer for my men, and a fork brace for everyone's bike!!!
I think a brace is a must have especially if you run no front fender, t give alot of support. I need to get one myself since I run no fender on my Fat Bob. For the chop I built I used one from Martin Bros which is real nice and I really felt the diff there but I also had 40 degrees of rake. Here is a pic of it, it was $200 I believe and it was supe nice chrome.. Its like a super shorty fender comes to a nice point. I liked it cause it was just different from all the other ones. Wish I had a better pic but
I was looking to get a SuperBrace for my Fat Bob... just heard back from them on availability:
"We're totally sorry for the delay but I can assure you that the techs are prototyping that brace this week with an estimated production delivery ETA of 3-5 weeks."
