With your youth, I'd say go with a Dyna. Only spend the money on the SE if that is really what you want and you plan to keep it for a while. There are a lot of 95" builds that beat the power of a 110. I have a bro with 2 '07 110s (Dyna and Ultra Classic) and some of the 88" bored to 95" with cams and ported heads will beat either of his 110 inch motors (on the dyno and on the street).

+1 buy the fxdc and dump $$$ into it. I think that the stock se 110" only has around 87 hp anyways. You can put a couple grand into the stock fxdc and have something that will blow by the se. Plus you will still have $$$ leftover.

another thing is usability ... the rocker is a cool looking bike (I guess) but how well served is it for 2up riding or long distance hauls?
I really like my Dyna... I came minutes away from trading it for a night train... put less than half that money into making my Dyna my own and now I am so glad I don't have a cookie cutter nighttrain in my garage!

Any of the CVO bikes are worth the money. These guys talking about buying a standard and putting money in mods apparently don't realize when they get finished spending their money they haven't increased the value of the bike whereas a stock CVO will always bring more coin than any hopped up base model.

All of us customize our bikes but when it comes to trade-in, they look in the book and say...."'06 FXDB? We'll give ya $8grand unless you start taking stuff off...."

yeah I know i'm young and I love to wrench on things but bikes are a whole new ball game for me. I have done race cars and I just want something that is already modded out so I don't have to put more money into it. yea I'll change pipes maybe do a few engine mods later but I want to keep it stock and look good and haul *** at the same time. Guess I am picky.
Here is a pic of the dyna I am thinking about

As for the guy that asked why I can afford a SE dyna and not a ultra classic...I'm 25 man. Its not a question of affordability. Guess I worded that wrong I love the ultra classic and will eventually get one I just don't want one yet. I feel that I am too young to have a touring bike and if I want to ride one i'll just take my dads 06 CVO Ultra classic or the 09 CVO tri-glide he just ordered

Well Put

and your also correct I have not ridden either one of them...I missed the last demo ride at my dealer because I was in NYC and with the weather turning for the worse here in Pittsburgh I'm going to have to go without riding one.

That SE Dyna is a beautiful bike, and you should have some room to negotiate the price since the 09s are out now and the riding season is probably winding down in your area . The other folks have a point about modding a bike to your specs, but if the CVO is what you want and you can afford it, then get what makes you happy and ride the wheels off it!
