The front forks on the FXDSE are inverted, cartridge-style forks. The forks on all the other dyna models are the standard, cheap, POS dampening rod forks.
Coming off a sportster I'd HARDLY call the FX forks a POS! Pretty damn smoootth imho

man you had to go and jinx me didn't you...nah its not my first bike. I have been riding since I was 9..I think I have it figured out by now..and you have no idea how PISSED off at myself I would be if I was to drop her. however, anything is possible. My dad dropped his 43K CVO ultra at a gas station in Florida if it wasn't for some Spanish dude it might have actually fallen completely over. Thanks for the information about the cams. I don't know if I want to have them installed at the stealer or just want until I am out of warranty. I'll look into it. I know how dealers can be about mods. Audi/VW dealers are mod *****...I just happen to own a modified audi a4.

I'd have to say go with the Dyna, at least with the future you intend.....but I took a hard look at the Rocker C and it is a way cool scooter! Hard to look away from!

Those rockers are strange looking bikes! Some love 'em, some don't.

Yeah, I for one like the look, Just not sure if I would have been able to handle a ride to nashville from Pittsburgh and back on it. I think the Dyna is going to be more comfortable for the ride and it will not look as goofy with bags on it then the rocker. Plus I want to one up my dad.

Excellent choice on the CVO Dyna... you won't regret getting it over the Rocker C. BTW, I've seen the CVO in person and that paint is unbelieveable... pics don't do it justice.

Okay you guys where right...the picture do not to the bike justice. Saw her today. Working on Financing. The dealer isn't budging on the price of 24889.00 they knocked off the freight and some other fee. Does this seem like a okay price? I think I might have to throw my idea of paying 350 a month out the window and suck it up and go with 450 to 500 a month. What do you guys think?

That's a killer monthly payment($500). My local dealer has that same SE dyna with $2000 off msrp. I would put some pressure on the dealer about dropping some more off the price. You know they want to get rid of it especially the way the economy is right now. But if they wont budge and your sure its the right one then get it. Hope it works out for you. As for doing mods I just put in a 103" stage 2 w/heads and the dealer will cover it under my warrenty. But I think harley will only cover a upgrade like that if you do it before you take possession of the bike. Anyone else hear about that?

If you put the stage 11 and dealer installed with SE parts the warranty is still in place. Thats how mine worked. It even states it on the HD website. I did mine after 5k on the bike.
