So I am going completey old school with my 09 Fat Bob and trying to figure out exhaust.. I got her in August and since then just did all black controls, removed front fender and swapped in a Harley Speedo w/ tach the color backlight one. I had ordered V&H Shorts Shots and a goodson aircleaner but had to return them. I am ordering DNA Chrome 60 spoke wheels in the stock size 16's and running them with the Whitewalls off the 09 RKC , Solo Bare Bones seat, Goodson Aircleaner in chrome but for the exhaust I would like to do some fishtails maybe or some long pipes with a nice upsweep I cant find those type of pipes for a DYna only for softails any suggestions for pipes with the mods I am doing? Thanks
I don't like upswept pipe myself so I would think a black thundeheader would look cool. It has a nice raw look about it that probably goes well with your old school idea.
Not to mention white or black wrap looks cool on them.
just get the fish tail mufflers from JP cycle either you bend or have them bended to match the upsweep you want... bending will prob ruin the chrome but you are going old school so i would wrap anyway. i would also look at beach bars for a old school look ...

I hear ya I just hate 2 into one pipes... I know the thunderheader is a great pipe just not my style.. Also I think chrome is the way to go since I am going with chrome spokes and Whitewall tires, Wrap I will probably use these are my old pipe for a Chop I built these pipes were one off's for my S$S 100 and I wrapped them and left a little chrome showing I will probably do the same what do you think.

I was thinking that but you think I should just add the fishtals to my stock Fat Bob pipes cause I dont think they will look right. I was also thinking of doing like the samson street sweepers and wrapping them. I like the way beach bars look I just never felt confortable with them... I am also gonna do a foot clutch and jockey shift.
What do you think chrome spokes with whitewalls on my Black denim Fat Bob or going with Black rims and Hubs silver spokes and just run the stock tires for a while?? Thanks Bro
pipes above are cool as can be... how bout just wrapping some bassani 2-1 or some short shots ?
I actually like the upswept pipes on a thin long old school chopper but I think our bikes are too wide now days to pull it off.
I found a set of the 11180 pipes ('08 Custom Chrome catalog at p. 7.06) at North Coast Thunderbikes I am going to pick up in a couple of weeks. I am thinking of just slipping the stock FXD taper (muffler) on for now; and, maybe get a "cocktail shaker" or a "fishtail" eventually.
I think that'll capture the look of the '58 FL Duo Glide (pictured below).
