Hey guys im going this weekend to have my duce 06 wheel done for my 07 streetbob when they cut that out for the 1" AXLE wont the houseing in the center that held the 3/4 axle spacer inside the hub drop out? I guess as long as the spacer is in there wont matter right? thanks bald guy

no when you remove the 3/4 spacer its solid enough that when you drill it out for the 1 inch spacer you dont have anything drop out.
2006 is when things changed for the DYNA. With my 2005, I went with a Sportster 1200 Custom chromed disc rear wheel. It is 16X3 and it is IDENTICAL in spacing, everything with a stock wheel. I "think" the deuce is 17x4.5
The deuce wheel with a 150 width tire MAY work....but no idea, sorry.

I have an 05 Lowrider. Will the Deuce wheel bolt right up to my bike with the existing bearings. I think I have 3/4" axles. How wide are the Deuce wheels and tires? I was thinking they came with a 180 tire. I think that may be too wide for my bike since I have a stock 150 tire.
The early deuce wheel Will fit right on your 05 I know cuz I just put one on my 05 FXDCI.You must use your Dyna pulley! the Deuce wheel is 17x4.5 A metzeler 160/70/17 fits with about3/8" clearance at the tightest point. The dunlop is a wider tire and may not fit. It's a little tight putting on around the brake but it does fit without any Mods!
My rear HD Roadwinder wheel is for a 2005 Deuce. It was new in the box and had the bearings still in plastic with it. Bolted right on no spacers needed but I would definitely use new bearings and fasteners if I were you.

Glad you chimed in! I thought I remember you telling me you were running the Deuce wheel. I don't know how in the hell you could get a 160 on a 2005 and older model. My 150 is an extremely tight fit, and to get the wheel on, you have to let the air out of the tire and gently pull to get the caliper over. Of course, this is with 11" shocks.
EDIT: Reread your post....I am using the Dunlop tire, maybe that is why it is a TIGHT fit!

Okay, just for my personal FYI...when did they change the Deuce wheel? Silly me.....I thought they were all the same. Machining out that tiny little bit so the larger wheel bearing spacer will work is an easy job for any machinist worth his salt.

When you pull the bearings, the spacer comes right out.
The machining is becasue the outside diameter of the 1 inch spacer is a tad too big. All the machinist will do is measure the new spacer, and machine out just enough to make it work. EASY.
