My question...my 10 year old loves to ride with me, so I must have a way to carry a passenger. What are everyone's solutions to this?
My first thought is a detachable sissy bar and removeable pillion pad. This would be good if you know exactly when you are going to need it.
Secondly, was to just go ahead with a 2 up seat and bolt on sissy bar. This would be great for when I just happen to show up unexpectedly since my daughter doesn't live with me everyday. A lot of times I am out riding and will time it to pick her up after school. I work midnight, so I am out alot during the day.
Please no bashing on how the bike is a solo ride and I am disgracing it. I love the look, but it would break my daughter's heart to tell her she can no longer ride with me. I want to preserve the looks, but also have function.
I need the lowered suspension and I want the apes!
Here is what we ride now...a Volusia 800. A very nice bike for the money:

RE: Street Bob set up for Two Up -Questions
Are you keeping the Volusia 800? If so, than no need for 2 up seat on bob. Have the best of both worlds. If not, look for the Badlander seat. I think it looks the best without comprimising the intended flare of the bob. You will need to get passenger pegs installed. You may be better off with a different Dyna model. Good luck.
I wish I could afford to keep it AND buy the Bob, but that's just too much expense as I've only made 20 payments on the VOL!
The VOL is my first streetbike...I'm 36 and started riding when I was 5, but only in the dirt.
The VOL was bought to see if I would like street riding, which I do, so it seems like the time to move up. I'm taking it in today to see what they'll offer and what a payment for the Bob will be. If it's too much, I'll ride away on my Volusia and try again some other time. I like my Volusia alot and think it is a super bike for the price, but I want more power!
I think a 2-up seat and the mini sissy bar looks great on the bob. My dealer had one they did up, and it looked very cool. and I know there's at least one member here with a bob and 2-up seat and medium-low sissy bar. Either buy the badlander seat, or find the stock seat from an '06 FXDCI, and you'll be cruising.

I put the badlander on my Bob, it looks great but the wife complains. Not much padding for the passenger.
On the Volusia forum, lots of guys would remove the cover...cut out the hard foam, and then insert softer foam or a gel pad. Many had good results with that.
How much is the Badlander seat? Where is the best place to buy?
Good idea on the remove old foam and add good foam, I'll look in to that. I got my seat from the stealer. I think it was 2 bills, I don't have the reciept in front of me.
Got the HD add on pad for bob. Then the bar mounts and med tall bar, then the WIDE pad and some big pegs. Any thing for mama. Yes, I would like to have solo bike. BUt, if she is paying for it what the H.
Not only that so called junk to many, but get this........
i got the sidekick w/cremator pattern, and detachable sissybar. the g/f dont like her portion of the seat too much but i think its perfect. i also got the pillion for when i know she's comming.
