May be screw for the anti rattle spring on clutch lever.

None of the above. It is the same screw used on the AIT sensor and the other parts on the throttle body but they are all there.

I agree with anubiss. Put it in your tool box until such time as you figure out where it goes. Do as good an overall inspection of your bike as you can do, including pushing and pulling on things, and if you can't find out where it goes, don't worry about it.

Probably from the switch housings at the grips. Looks like one I took out a few minutes ago to lube the cables.
Look underneath the housings. One screw on top and one on bottom , each side.

anyone other than you work on the bike?... they could have dropped it into the mysterious bolt eating part of the bike and it just regurgitated it.
