Default Streetbob quick detach question, PICS ADDED

Hey guys, probably a stupid question here but here goes. I am trying to install the quick detachable hardware on my Bob. Do I NEED the directional relocation kit?? I dont have saddlebags. I have heard it both ways, needing and not needing.

Do I have to cut the wire to the turn signal? Right now I have the left side signal hanging by the wire, waiting on further instructions.

How do I install these things??? HELP!!!

ok guys, got it on. Thanks for all y'all's help!!!! Here's the pics

I have the laydown liscense plate, LED brake light, and the solo detachable luggage rack.

Not on it is the windshield(I take it off during short rides in warm weather)

yes you do need the relocation turn signals,BUT DONT CUT YOUR CABLES.do the relocation kit first.much easier.because the detachable hardware uses the hole the turn signal uses.but dont cut your wires.the kit will show u how to do it properly

G'day,
Well you are off to a flying start.... one says yes and one says no. The S/E catologue is even more confusing as they suggest a relocation kit if you DON"T have saddlebags?? Probably a typo error. I haven't bought the detachable sissy bar kit yet, but saw a photo of a bike with the indicators sticking out from the ends of the"*****" of the detachable hardwear, pretty much in their original position; therefore proving, (?), that you don't need to move the indicators back to the licence plate area. I hope you / we get a straight answer on this one. The only reason I haven't bought the hareware yet is because not even the local dealer can tell me and can't be bothered to unpack the parts to see if there is a hole in the end of the "**** / bolt" that the sissy bar clips onto.

I keep viewing

g'day again, did ya notice on the earlier post from "tb2377" (re 06 wide glide question), that his indicators were sticking out of the "detatchable
hardware *****/ bolts. I guess that answers the question. I knew I wasn't dreaming. The mistake in the catologue is probably the reason the dealers are getting it wrong. I'm off to the dealer to buy.

Ok, got the kit today, its raining so I'll have to wait for the install. The wires WILL have to be cut(it comes with the little crimp splicers). Cant wait to get this thing finished with lol.

It says you dont need the kit only if you are NOT running with saddlebags. Im sure I could jimmy rig it to work without the kit but why not do it right?

I'll post some pics of my ride after I finish.
