92 Low Rider $ ?

Work'n a deal on a 92 Low Rider, seller asking $8500. It has 24000 miles. last taged in 07. Tires starting to show some dryrotting, the stator is bad, has straight pipes no mufflers or baffels,the pipes are blued really bad about 6 to 8 inches so carb may just need some fine tuning, also need to keep choke out a little while running even after warm up ( carb rebuild or replace ? ) or rubber gasket at carb / intake. Rear turn signal bumped hard enough to split rear fender just a tiny bit. He said it was a special edt. or limited production. ( black and silver with orange pin stripe ) I have a car he wants for $3500 so im think'n my car and $3000 . So finally my question, is this scoot going to be worth it or should i keep looking ? I can do most of the work myself. Thank's

Depends.......

Are you "In Love" with the Bike ?
If yes................ then have a Fat Wallet or Be familiar with wrenches.

If you aint "In Love"..... keep Looking I say.

6k would be the very most id give you need new rubber and stator so there you got 500 give or take more in it. 24000 miles is nothing on a evo but its a 17 yr old bike now.

$8500 sounds high to me, especially since the bike needs parts and work.

I bought this '96 Low Rider with 28K miles for my wife and everything in good working order for $7800.

The bike didn't cost but about $5K when it was new. I'd say trade the car even-steeven or tell him adios.

that bike if its the daytona one which it sounds like if its got the gold painted mags sold for right around 10k.not sure if the daytona came in black and silver tho? but thats the only special edition lowrider I know of
