Default Fuel gauge stop working
I have a 01 Dyna wide glide that the fuel guage stop working, Any ideas where I should start trouble shooting?

Same on mine (Dyna lowrider) I tried to check the connections undernearh the fuel gauge body, found nothing abnormal ..... So now I go on riding without caring about this, for I know that as soon as I've turned the tap upside, I have 50-60 km left .....

Don't know about an 01 but on the 06's their is a connector under the tank of the left side. I moved my tank back to work on something and accidently disconnected it there.

I didn't think anyone used their fuel gauge. What's it for?

There is a DIY thread on this forum that is supposed to lead you to a place that will tell you how to troubleshoot the guage, guess what, it doesn't take you there, at least not the last time I tried. Use the trip od and stop for gas every 125 or so. Works for me 03FXDL never has worked and most others have told me that even if it did they are not accurate.

Thanks, guys for the help, I have been using the od to check my miliage.
Just thought I would try to keep everything in working order.

one of the fingers that ride against the resistor has probably broken, take it out and check that. I bent the broken one so it would make contact, bent the arm so it would read correctly and re-installled, now it works fine again. OR, replace the gauge
