Fuel Gauge
Hi all..
My fuel gauge seems to be 'broken'? When I fill it up it just keeps moving around for a while and then goes back to 'E' empty and back to
the middle again.. It's never in the correct position.
Any ideas of what might have caused that or how to fix it is much appreciated.
It's a 2003 Dyna Lowrider bike.

Sounds like your float arm is broken. You'll have to take your console off and pull out the fuel pump, filter, and float and just see if something obvious is broken. Replace items as needed.

I can tell you what not to do to fix it, Mine stuck like that and I wrapped on it with my knuckle and broke the the lens. I think I will replace mine with the Kuyakyn fuel gauge. It's not a high priority on my mod list cause it was never accurate anyway.... Not sure if unplugging the black power connector from the fuel gauge underneath the tank and then repluggin would do anything or not but it couldn't hurt? Its probably internal like Powercobra said and I do know my stealer has been fixing alot of them cause I stopped in to get a new tank gasket and they had 1 left out of 10 that he just received 4 days earlier. mojo
