My 02 Electraglide fuel gauge bounces around like a dam pinball flipper. I seems do to the vibration. Is this normal or is the gauge or sending unit worn out?
mine doesn't bounce but it does wait till it is over 1/2 empty before it moves off the full mark, and we won't talk about the water in it when it gets wet..
Mine was reading empty all of the time. I followed the trouble shooting guide with no luck. Then I bought a new guage still had the same issue. Finally today I opened up the tank and I found that the fuel pump housing was broken causing the float to get stuck. I have a new one on order, looks like I am waiting another week.
