Default Trying to decide between models

I've owned several Dyna's in the past but haven't rode one since 98' and was wondering if they changed much since then besides the 6 speed and 96ci? I'm trying to decide between a Superglide Custom, Lowrider, and Fatbob and kind of leaning towards the Custom because the local dealer has one in stock that I like but was wondering if I like the handlebars. I hadn't realized they went back to the old buckhorns that I had years ago.
Any insight would be appreciated.

If ya like the rest of the bike, have them switch out the handlebars. Sit on the other models to see which style you like best. Ask if they have any takeoffs you could get for a discount.

the custom is definately the way to go,best looking dyna for sure, but I am partial. There are many changes on the new models, much beefier frame, large 49 mm front forks, wider rear tire, auto primary chain tensioner,5.5 gallon gas tank on the custom, the extra grand for the custom is a no-brainer,chrome engine,2-up seat and pass. pegs, tank mounted chrome dash with speedo, chrome laced wheels.I don't mind the bars, they are'nt as severe of a pullback and as narrow as your 98 had.

In hindsight I should have bought the FXDC. I was just trying to save $$ that, as it turns out I will be spending before the 1st year is up. Yeah, I'm less in debt 'cause I didn't finance the extra, but I'm paying more for it.

The main thing I want to say though is that for me the handlebars are workable but not great. I am switching them out for stock Street Bob mini-apes in the next couple of weeks.

Dynas as a whole were given a redesign so they likely ride different than what you experienced but probably for the better. Not that there was anything wrong with them before. In my opinion, the custom is the best value for the price but I'm not saying it's the best bike. I like them all for different reasons but, for me, it was the custom that spoke to me (I'm a chrome guy). It became the best value the year after I bought mine because they dropped the price without changing the bike. With all that said, I didn't care for the bars. That pullback/buckhorn design put my hands/wrists in a position I wasn't comfortable with. The bars, like many other parts, are easy enough to change though. I've done a lot to mine to get it to my personal comfort level. They can't build bikes to fit everyone right off the showroom floor. I had to find the right bars, the right seat, add forward controls, and lower the rear a little bit but now it's just like I want it. Keep those options in mind when picking a model. That stuff can be changed on any of them and you don't have to break the bank to do it, especially if you are willing to turn a wrench yourself on some things. The only thing I didn't do myself was the bars because I got a good deal on them, a good deal on the labor, and I wanted them internally wired and didn't want to take a chance on f'ing anything up with the wiring.

off the shelf, I like the fatbob the best... I could live with that bike stock for a long time. I would get it with the foward controls. I would probably only get Rush slipons to make some noise(xied's for better AFR). Would also need a new seat and sissybar for 2 up riding.

Fatbob.... why ... dual front disk brakes. I love my Superglide but if I did it again... Fatbob. But I would put a dresser rear fender on it if I could, for style points.

Thanks for all the replies. Actually, each bike has something I really like about it and none of them have a deal killer. For some reason the Custom really caught my eye this time (must have been that red color) and I'm not sure I wouldn't be happy with the bars but would really like to take a test ride first to make up mind but it might be kind of hard to do this time of year.
