I have the H-D standard height quick release shield for my 08 Street Bob and its real nice for longer rides and cutting the wind down but on my bike with the shield on at around 85-90 mph the bike will swerve back and forth real bad making it barely able to even hang on take shield off bike is smooth at any speed

I am about 5'4" and have both the Memphis Shades Del Rey and Del Rio in gradient black. I just like no windshield better unless I am on the Road Glide. PM me if you are interested in both shields and docking hardware.

+1 on the HD standard height quick detach, mine only comes off my 08 bob for winter storage (wont fit under the storage rack in the back of the garage with it on). I get no wobble at any speed........and I have tried all the speeds my bike can make =)

I didn't like the looks of the Harley quick detach windshield although the hardware rocks in how it works.
I went for the Memphis Shades Rio Grande and I think it fits the bike better. It does leave some of the hardware behind when the windshield is off but not a big deal to me.

Check my photo album for pics of the Memphis Shades Del Rio in Gradient Black. I like this shield a great deal.

Hope that helps ....

Really? I thought by moving the bars more forward, which would raise my arms and hands higher, would cause more wind blast and fatigue...I'll give that a try as well.

Thanks

Thanks for all the responses...I really do appreciate it. I'm about ready to pull the trigger and get the HD quick release/detach Low Profile model 58348-06. It has a height of 14.3" above the headlight, so I should still be able to see over it.

These are pricey compared to other makes and I just wanted to make sure I'm getting the right one for me.

i've got one that fits the mini apes perfect, and it mounts to the handlebars with 4 allen screws. $40 plus shipping takes it.
