Ok, the windshield has been ordered, but one last question...if I pushed the bars a bit more forward, will it really make a bit of difference with the wind blast kickin' my butt? I have a short reach, but with the stock bars position(per the sig pic), my elbows are slightly bent...I could probably move 'em forward maybe another 1/2" to 1"...would that make a difference?

I dont think pushing the bars forward will help. Not only will you catch more wind, but you'll drag on your bars ad wear out the knurling on the bars.

I have the HD QD standard height (i'm 6-01) and love it. Bought the QD so I could dump it quick cuz I like the look better w/o it. However once I got it, it meshes into the bike so well ad the ridability of the bike skyrocketed so much Ive had it off twice...to wash the bike.

it definitely helps...changes you from sitting back and holding yourself up with your arms/abs to a more leaning into the wind position which takes the pressure off your arms/abs.....hard to explain but once you do it you'll get the picture.

I did hunt ebay, but the only used HD QR windshields were the taller height...so I bought a new HD low profile on ebay...wasn't cheap, but it was the size I wanted.

Thanks for the reply, I'll move 'em forward about an inch and see if it helps.

I know that WindVest has a windshield that comes in black hardware for the 07 StreetBob. It comes off with 4 allens. Pretty quick.
