I have a 2006 Bob with SE II slip ons, anyone pull the baffles and put in the Big City Thunder replacments? Hows it sound, perform, and is the install easy?
I am running the BC Thunder baffles in my VH pipes. I was running straight pipes but like the sound with the baffles better. It's deeper and dosent rap.
I don't have the BC baffles yet but a buddy put them in his SE II's. They sound excellent like a set of really good aftermarket pipe's. Plenty loud with some mean authority.

Percentage wise, how much louder were they compared to SE II stock baffles?
Hard to put into a percent or words because the tone itself changes considerably. Put it to 'ya this way. I can hardly hear my bike when they are running side by side. Perhaps 20-25 percent louder but 50 percent fuller. Probably somewhere between the SEII's and full out drag pipe (closer to the drag pipe) soundwise.
I have to take his rig up on the highway to test it out. If those pipes 'get into my head' at those speeds, its a deal breaker for me. After a few bikes with drag pipes and washer baffles, I appreciate the controlled tone of the SEII's these days.
That 500CC Enfield below has a great exhaust tone. No baffle, just classic '50's Enfield open muffler. It has a nice twitter on the over-run. Sounds like half a Harley running drag pipes.
