looks awesome... now to take off the other covers and do them as well. I think I may do only the top rocker covers or not at all. Does anyone know the tool I need to get the rocker covers off.
A dogbone adapter is what your looking for on the rocker covers. They would look good black. Have a buddy that just did the top rocker covers black and left the bottom chrome and that looks really good as well. Its also alot less work to just take off the top covers.
If you have a ratchet style box wrench you can remove the rocker covers without taking off the tank. 7/16" is the size, I think. I did just the covers, it was easy and I think it looks good.
the cam and tranny covers are currently being primed and painted today!... I will do the top rockers only. A 7/16" box wrench that ratchets. I have ratcheting wrenches in metric... guess i should get a standard set.
I did like the chrome and black to, but change is good. I can seem to leave any bike alone for long. I am adding chrome to my motor but also getting all the old parts powder coated gloss black in case I change my mind again.
