Dyna Duel Disc mods
By lowering the front you change the trail, by a fair amount (on sport bikes they do this by raising the fork tubes in the triple trees).
On the Beemer, it made it turn in much quicker, which I expected and like (almost twichy). Since I ride that bike almost entirely in the canyons its no issue.
Since an FXD has more trail to start with, I would think you would like the impact on steering.
You will, of course, lower the front by an inch or so, which will affect cornering clearance
. (i.e. half of the decrease in wheel diameter). Not an issue for me on the beamer.....might be on an Harley though.I would also verify I could get matching tires front and rear, or at least know what was available. Some riders have expressed negatives to mismatching tires.
On another note, in adding the dual discs, are you changing the master cylinder as well? I thought of this on my 07 FXD, but it seemed to get awfully pricey (new front wheel, rotor, fork leg, master cylinder, brake caliper, etc).
Post some more detail when you are done.....good luck

The weighs are about a pound more for the 19” vs the 17”. (19”/12.79 lbs vs 17” 11.24 Lbs.) The load capacity of the above 17” is 567 lbs vs 584 for the 19”
The 19” will weigh much more due to inertia when the load goes from static to active. Naturally, the both wheels weigh progressively more the faster you go but the larger diameter 19” will always weigh more.
The diameter difference is 26.5 millimeter = 1.043 307 086 6 inch
686 mm (19”)
633 mm (-)

If you wished to convert over to a 17” and used these random example tires (just an example and not an a recommendation) you would need to extend your front end 1” + use a different fender (wider & less diameter) and mount it.
