Default No Oil Pressure......

On the way home Friday night. I was going along everything was fine cruising about 75 then all of the sudden oil light came on. By the time I got stopped it sounded real rough. Top end was rattling.. Took it to the dealer Sat. morning. Of course the same dog and pony dance. The scoot has only 12500 on the clock. So it is under warranty. Waiting on the dealer to call tell me the problem. I have heard of the oil pumps getting clooged from the cam chain tensioner. But I thought the MOCO fixed that problem. It was a beautiful weekend for a cruise. I guess will wait to hear from the dealer...... Dammit

Tuff break! I thought the cam tensioner was addressed for the '07 model as well. At least you've got that warranty.

Keep us advised. I have an '06 that I bought the extended warranty for, due to the I-P Bearing issue (mine went at 3900-mi), and the stator (so far, so good). Hope this isn't another point of worry.

just got off the phone with the service manager. Oil pump split in 2 pieces. Tore up the bottom end of the motor. The pinion had .05 runout. They were going to rebuild the bottomend. Moco told them to forget about that. That they (HD) were going to send a brand new 103" motor to replace it. I glad that they decided on doing that. I wasn't comfortable with the rebuild idea. Will see what happens next.

Yes all of the work was performed before I picked it up when purchased.

If you want to go ahead an shi it this away. I will put a few gentle miles on it. Today it was 65 out yesterday it was in the 70's. Last week a couple of day's when I got up it was in the 30's. Still rode.
