so only stick to dyna front forks and triples? i assume a lot of others will fit? just some model specific details that a person would have to modify?? so other than the look, which (lets face it, is important) there is not alot to gain from a swap other than the headache of making everything work??? sorry for so many questions!!! im new and i am not privy to all the different model specific harley differences.... if it were a FORD ,then id be in my element.....Gotta work on them every day...tim
the fork tubes can be from other models, the trees you will need to modify a fork stop or get a tree designed for the Dyna. For instance you can put a deuce front end on(modify a fork stop) or you could get wide glide trees (41mm) and install a set of deuce fork tubes, axles, spacers and wheels that will fit.
Guys have made springers fit our bikes with a little modification so go after the look you want, it will either bolt right up, or can be modified a little to fit.

+1 above
I have an '04 Superglide and you will find that the '04 and '05 are different than the other Dynas. I put a '99 Wideglide/Softail front end on mine, 41mm tubes, billet triple trees, and a 21" wheel, all from Jireh Cycles (Ultima). I ended up removing my fork lock and grinding part of the frame near the fork lock in order for the fork stops on the triple trees to work properly. Be prepared to do some tweaking if you go the custom route. There are also 39mm triple tree conversion kits out there that will work with your current tubes and lowers.
The Superglide can be built into a real good performing Dyna. It will take a little cash and time on your part. Some improvements to start would be in the suspension, rear shocks and to start up front different fork oil. Real easy on 04's. The wide glide had some issues with tank slappers (front end wobbles) at hi-speed. I'm not partial but I would buy one again. Engine is the same, frame is the same (except steering neck).A superglide is a blank canvas and it's time to be the artist.
