Default I need your opinions!

I'm on the fence on changing the front end. I like the WG front, nice wide, beefy stance. I also like the springer front, but I'm not sure how a dyna low springer would look, especially in the blue and silver paint scheme.

I'm already planning on the 21" and 18" wheel swap, just need something to go under the front.

Keep in mind, I have tbars now, and would go with a knuckle springer if I go that direction, just to give you all a litte visual aid.

Thanks in advance!

I'm a huge fan of springer front ends...for me that trumps the raked WG front.

A couple of forum members have done the springer conversion--kpreese and KansasHellride. Photos of their respective bikes below.

However, the cool factor also definitely resides with a Wide Glide treatment. I went with a wide FL front end ....

If cost and difficulty are considerations, I think the standard Wide Glide is the lowest trouble and cost quotient.

Good luck.

If you're not familiar with Girder front ends, here's a photo of a Shovelhead chopper sporting a Durfee Girder front end.

Thanks for the replies guys! I think the girder look is great, on a custom, not so much on a stocker tho.

So, then to the springer begs the question, is the Paughco that much better than the DNA? Is the DNA going to last? There is nearly 1K in price difference just in the assy alone! That's huge!

The rear shocks kind of detract from the springer too. Almost too much going on. With a softie or hard tail, there's nothing to take away from the awesome look of the springer! Guess I could throw hard tail struts on it for bangin' around local like, then put the shocks back on when momma wants to ride, or longer highway trips.

Thoughts?
