how does the 09 Street Bob stock exhaust sound?
and you think the new Screamin Eagle Slipons are worth the effort?
I've got the older SEII's with BCT baffles on the Sporty, and if I do get a new SB, I'd like it to make a little noise without spending a whole lot.

I was very disappointed in the stock exhaust sound just like I was of my nightsters stock exhaust.
Coming from your old exhaust to stock pipes, I don't see how you could be happy. IMO
What color are thinking about?

The SB mufflers sound almost identical to the Nightster mufflers, because their internal baffle structure is similar. They are just a tad louder than the std tapered muffs, but have a different tone: not as deep and little more raspy.

I would get Rush slip ons over the SE's. I don't like the stock pipes (with or without slip ons) on the new bob. The chopped fender doesn't match the pipes IMHO. Just my .02

I didnt (and you won't either) like the stock pipes. I bought an 09 FXDB Street Bob back in Oct. I was able to put 280 miles on her before cold weather set in. The first mode this winter is going to be pipes. I've been shopping around and just havent decided yet. Mike

Depends on how loud you want it. Stay away from the Screamin' Eagle ones though, they are just a little louder than stock. Cheapest out there are the Cycle Shack slip-ons, but they are loud as hell. Also look at the Rush and V&H for less expensive alternatives.
