I ordered a stock cover off of ebay but have yet to hear from the seller so I may file a dispute with paypal shortly.
I'm a Marine in Iraq and all I want for Christmas is this freakin air cleaner cover! Maybe worst case I can try the do it yourself when I get back to Lejeune but I'm not sure I trust their equipment and/or my machining skills.

WS6 Formula is the one who did this originally (I think) and there was a write up on it by Mud. It really doesn't look too hard to do so give it a try when you get back. If you screw it up there are probably thousands of those footballs stuffed in the corner of peoples garages waiting to be exchanged for a five dollar bill.
I bought one off e-bay to do the same thing. For now I painted the stock A/C cleaner. Once I work out the bugs, I'll let you know. It looks pretty straight forward.

You never know til you try. I'm in the middle of destroying a perfectly good Street Bob fender. I'll be out about $150 the way it looks right now but it was the only way to verify I have no metal working skills!
Yeah I'm normally a glutton for punishment with this stuff. I'm the one out swapping an axle in a camaro in my driveway in the snow for because I didn't want to pay someone to do it, or wait until the weather broke.
I've since grown out of that though. I enjoy my rest when I can swing it
