Hey All,
I see that alot have changed the nameplate on the SB. I was wondering if anyone has changed the superglide. They are clearcoated on, atleast it looks that way. How can I remove them, if I wanted to use the Night Train nameplates? Thanks for the help...
I have disliked the SG decals on mine since I got it two years ago. The only thing I could find to cover them were the Street Bob emblems. I used them until I decided to do something else.
I have just purchased a used tank with the intentions of having the decals removed, get it repainted, then clear-coated. Looking like its going to set me back between $300.00 - $500.00 to get a quality job done. This is more than I expected but I am ready to get rid of the decals.
I don't know if removing the old decals and then doing new clear-coat is possible and have it still look good.
The times I've looked at it, it sounded like it's impractical to just "remove the decals." You have to strip the tank and have it repainted or go to one of the places that do "tin swaps" where you buy a new tank (& fenders if you like) and they take your old ones.
