That 'T' shaped piece is half an inch thick, bolted in front of the front engine mounting bracket. The top of it stands roughly two inches above the top of the frame bracket, parallel to the front frame tubes.
Hope that helps!
Thanks alot for the information..just gotta get out to the shop and do a lil measuring....
I bought my two TrueTrack kits from the UK, paying International shipping and UK taxes! Still worth the expense.
The following is an extra photo, showing one of the brackets in place. As you will see I removed the front muffler, to get a better view of what I as trying to do.
What you can see, over the top of the brake master cylinder, is the ends of the two original bolts, with nuts removed and screwed into the bracket. TrueTrack will tell you that on certain models these bolts will be one way around or the other (nuts may be on the right or left side of the bike). Mine was the other way round to their prediction!
On mine I had to remove these bolts and reverse them, which was the most difficult part of the job. Get an extra helping of patience before you start, if when you look at your own bike you can see the bolt's heads from this view! If you can see the nuts, you can afford a sigh of relief....
TrueTrack just arrived via mail. Going on tonight or tomorrow. 1 1/2 days from order to delivery.......very nice. I'll give my 2 cents afterwords and doesn't rain.

Best of luck, from across the pond! You won't be disappointed with the results when you first ride it.
