Aw crap, just what I need, something else I can't live without

I just added a stabilizer to my Road Glide a few weeks ago (different brand, same idea). I ride the twisites quite a bit since I have a cabin in the mountains and am retired. I did notice the diff on the glide.

I have already added Works triple springs to the forks, and that helped immensely. Will order these stabilizers tomorrow

thx

greg

So does the front brace interfere at all with oil changes?

No, it mounts in front of the frame. See pic:

Oops...I should have been more specific. What I meant to ask was does the front brace make it more difficult to remove the oil filter or the filter's oil without making a mess?

Based on this pic, I'd say no. The TT mounts forward of the engine mount.

Same reply! It really is out of the way - see the pic I posted. The front stabilizer and brace is easy to remove, so any maintenance in that area that needs them out of the way is not made any more difficult.

In the picture you have, there is a bolt and jamb nut that is attached to the motor mount part that is supposed to align the motor by pushing against the frame mount part (I assume).
Instructions say to back bolt out 3/8" and tighten jamb nut. The instructions then say to measure the valve covers to frame or tank. What/where is this measurement taken. (I see you bolt has not been adjusted.)

Ten out of ten for observation!

Shortly after I first fitted the kit, that bolt came undone and jammed the front mount tight, causing the whole bike to vibrate like it would soon destroy itself! I never could see the sense of it so have tightened it down as far as it will go in, just to fill in the threaded hole! I never did use it as the instructions tell us to.

Bike runs and rides great like you see it in the pic. The motor is sitting in the frame as it was when it came out the factory and fitting the kit didn't change engine to frame clearance that I could tell, so I left it alone.

It looks to me like what they are trying to accomplish with that bolt is basically what the upper OEM stabilizer does, i.e, prevent lateral movement of the engine on a vertical axis. If the upper OEM stabilizer is doing its job, you should not need to use that bolt on the front stabilizer.
