That was sort of my point. If the problem was a severe and pervasive as TT makes it out to be on their web site, NHTSA would have forced a recall long ago.
I suspect for the average rider who goes the speed limit and doesn't "attack" every curve, this is a non-issue. I'll know soon enough, and if I'm wrong, I'll be the first to admit it.
I gotta tell ya'...I'm impressed with the handling of my new Street Bob. I don't "push it" hard though, but "spirited" riding is done on a regular basis...I don't "baby" the bike at all and the stock suspension and handking is fine for me.
Hell, if I wanted to drag the pegs and "attack corners",(the V&H Side Shots will scrape first on the right side long before the footpeg...been there already) I would of kept my '04 Kawi Z1000 hooligan bike.
I'm just sayin'...........................it ain't no track bike for sure.
I bought the HD to slow down a little and just enjoy the ride.
I have taken my '08 FXDL on many "Crazy" rides at high speeds...through the straights and through the Turns... and have nothing but great things to say about the handling. I will be interesting to see how things "progress" as the bike ages though.

I see you've got the Heavy Breather AC on your bike. Did you notice a substantial increase in intake roar with that vs the std AC set up?
As for the True-Track, does the bike have to be on a lift to install it, or is this a "sitting in the driveway" job?
I did mine crawling around on the ground, but it would have been far easier ar working height. The front mount is easy to do, but that rear one took me a lot of cursing and crawling!
i for one think this thing is some BS ploy to take advantage of harley riders but if anyone has some solid evidence to back up the claim id like to hear it.
