Well as some of you know i just pt some 1in lowered hd shocks on the rear, seem to only lower the bike 3/4in for now. They seem to ride nice. But they are taking them back and i think im going to try the 11in 440's!
What do you all think?
Anyone with some pics of thier bike with some 11in 440s,would like to see how they look ,prog site kinda sux for pics! i dont care much for the look either, but i heard they are a good shock and i want to try 11'' shocks
I'm going to get some black progressive 11in shocks for my Street Bob. I just got the bike and wanted to go riding with my wife every once and a while. I'm sure she won't ride very often, but I was wondering if I should get the HD shocks anyway or will I be OK with the standard shocks? I weigh 185lbs and together we will definately weigh over the listed 225lbs from progressive. What do you think?

do not get the HD.. the shock will bounce you off the seat on larger bumps...
I weigh the same as you and the HD have way too much rebound.

I would have to disagree on that, I have HD's and run solo a lot, I put them on the lowest setting and it is smooth for me, I weigh maybe 210 in full riding gear. Our weight is not that much different. Being on the lowest setting also lowers the bike when I am solo.
When I ride 2up I click them up 1 or 2 clicks depending on if we are taking full saddle bags.
If you will regularly ride 2up you should get HD's. By regularly I mean once or twice a week.

I've been riding two up and loaded up with camping gear etc and had no problems with the SB standard rear suspension, have looked at the 11" progs but just think maybe there might be a prob with 2 people and luggage..
