Hey guys, I need to remove the dash panel on my wife's Super Glide and don't feel like spending the $60 right now for a manual. Can anyone give me some tips on doing this? I want to take it in for some custom paint.
If it's the standard Super Glide with the filler cap in the dash it's a cake walk. Take the seat off and there is one bolt at the base of the tank. Remove the four bolts below the fuel gauge and then there are the bolts around the cap. Only three of those hold it on but if you are getting it painted remove them all so you can seperate the trim ring from the dash.

Reason: can't spell for sh1t
Around the gas cap you have to remove the bolts at 12-5-7.
Then you have the 4 by the fuel gauge and 1 at the bottom. Then it just lifts off.
Since you painting you will have to remove the rest of the bolts around the fuel cap to get the ring off but only need to remove the 3 to take the dash off.
