Angry I am depress

The ice on the drive was finally gone. I took my 2005 FXDX for a ride down Highway 78 for a test drive with the new DD Baker 6 speed. I love this transmission. The bike shift so much easier than the stock 5 speed. The gearing spacing is so much better. I was coming back I exit the highway, and something let go in the motor. I think it was the rear exhaust valve. I am suppose to go to Daytona at the end of February. I can not even trust this bike on a 10 mile run. I am depressed.

What're the symptoms?? You sure it was a valve??? Mechanical stuff breaks, you fix it and go on man. It's not too terribly expensive to fix even if you have to redo the whole top end on that baby.

I don't have any extra heads here, but I may, just maybe, have a set of 88 jugs, complete with piston's, with about 7 thousand miles on them laid back around here somewhere. Don't remember if I sold them or not. Let me know if I need to look for them. If you dropped a valve you may need them.

As far as heads go, if you need a set, them, and those jugs for that matter, a plentiful, cheap, and generally low mileage off ebay. Dealers dump them on the market as piles of guys come in every year and buy bikes and have them upgraded before they drive them off the lot.
