I had about $2k in mods added to my '08 Bob before I took delivery. I've put an additional $1200 into it since and have close to $1500 to go before I'm "finished" which will be in about 3 to 4 months... it says in fine print.
not much actually... i do all my own powder, work, and barter work for work when i need things done... i have access to great tools and machines, and i dont know how to do it i have buddies like loner that just SLAY wiht a CNC machine.... so we can just design and MAKE it... thats whats up...
would hate to add up the reciepts.
the only consolation is that i only buy what i can pay cash for.
figure by the end of the engine work this year, i prob added 10-12K to an 8K bike.
now thats fiscal responsibility!!!!!!!!
least i'm not payin anyones labor
I like to see their face when I tell them it cost about the same as their Softail! Got the bike for 10k used, then about 8k in motor, trans, paint, wheels, front end, bars, and bling.
15k for the bike and about $500 in mods, powder coating.... now, but ask me again next year. I'm saving my pennies for V/H black Big Radius, PC III (or equivalent) & air cleaner upgrade.
It just goes on and on. I love it.
