Just installed one of these on my 09 Fat Bob. Works fine. Replaced my dealer installed smoked lenses and amber turn signal bulbs with clear bulbs and the red lenses from the kit. Does someone make a red bulb I can use so that I can put the smoked lenses back on? Are the turn signal bulbs single or double filament?

kury makes a red bulb, but its an 1157, front fitment only.
I don't remember who it was but some one had a write up about painting the lenses. He used a tinting paint of some sorts and it worked. It might be in the under $50 thread.
The turn signal bulbs are single filiment. The module just keeps them turned on and then when you turn the signal on the module allows the signal to turn on in off not effecting the other side. You should be able to get an LED replacement. I would recommend the LED so you don't see the red through the lens when you bike is shut off.
Oh yea I forgot for the turn signals to act as the brake lights the module just applies more voltage to the turn sigs to brighten with the brake light. That's why the single filiment works.
Slightly off topic, but does anyone know if the run/stop/turn module will still work correctly without the tailight installed?
Going to chop my rear fender this spring and eliminate the taillight, using the sigs for run/brake/turn.
