I am wondering if these air shocks would fit my 08 Fat Bob. Also since they are for a touring bike, would they be too stiff? I realize the air pressure could be adjusted, just no that familiar with different shocks.
"These shocks will fit Road King, Street Glide, Electra Glide, Ultra Classic, and Road Glide 97-08."

I should not be so rude and explain why. I attatched a picture of a road king which the shock is meant for.
if you look at the picture of my dyna, you can see the shocks on the side same as your bike, not the same on one of the road king. Take a look at the pic.
The road king shock is actually on the bottom hooked up between the rear end of the frame to the front.
I could not find a good picture of this to illistrate.
The stock shock length on the Fat Bob is 12". I have 12.5" Progressive 440's
which I like A LOT. I like the slight additional clearance they give me, particularly as I have maxed the preload. Thinking of possibly going with some 13" 440's and raising the front forks about an inch.
The raising of the rear by 1/2", thus shortening rake and trail have not adversely affected the ride. I don't know, could raising the rear an additional 1/2" without raising the front to compensate begin to destabilize the beast?
Here's the Harley Davidson 12" Street Glide Air Shocks P/N 54631-02B, simple bolt in, but you have to trim the rubber boot or shim the shocks outboard to clear the belt guard. They sit at stock height and ride smooth and low.
ProfileŽ Low Touring Shocks
Lower the seat height of your Touring model without compromising the ride. The ProfileŽ Low Touring Shocks have been revalved for a comfortable ride while lowering the seat height by up to 3/4". The kit maintains the air adjustability feature of the stock shocks. 54631-02B
Fits '97-'08 Touring models (except FLHRSE3/4). Does not lower FLHRS or FLHX models.
