Hi I'm in search for a dyna but would really like some input- I'm 5'2 weigh 105 lbs female and ride dirt bikes - my hubby has a Fat Bob- I haven't demoed any bike yet but have sat on 3 of my favs Street Bob, low rider, and Fat Bob each bike has what I want but would like opinions out there please- we plan to do mostly touring- I don't know if I'll be strong enough to back up these heavier bikes so gals I need some advice Thanks!
Really, it all depends on what you like. All the Dynas generally weight the same, except for the Fat Bob, which I can attest is a pig.
Some people mentioned Sporties, which are great, but since you said you're going to be touring... not so much fun.
It would be better to know which price range are you looking at?
For the money, the Superglide Custom looks like a great deal with all the chrome, but the bars may be a reach for you.
Add the Reach seat which is lower, thinner in the thigh area, and will push you forward some (or an aftermarket seat) and add the lowering kit and you's probably still be at less money than the Lowrider.
My option is going to be biased, but I say go ahead and go all out, get the Screamin Eagle,...it might be to much to handle at first, but you'll learn to hang on pretty fast.
I've have a superglide and a lowrider. The superglide is taller in the seat and can be a little difficult to walk backwards. My FXD has been built up for two up riding. Yes you can lower it with different springs and shocks but usually you will compromise ride comfort (stiffness). The lowrider is well, lower. The bike's suspension won't have to compromised to lower it. I ride my L/R on solo rides and group rides and even tho it's an 05 it still turns heads. Good luck.
I'm a bit under 5'-4", and weight about 126lbs. I just traded in my 1200 Nightster which is a "low" model of Sportster, and got a new 2008 Street Bob. Despite what many always told me, which was "get a Low Rider", I never liked the feel of them (although to be truthful I only sat on them, never test road one). As soon as I sat on the Street Bob however, I said "I could do this" ! And I am so glad I did. I love it, and for some reason, I feel it handles better than the Sporty. I also had an 883 Low before the Nightster.
I am flatfooted, but not firmly so, if that makes sense. I would like to be slightly lower and am figuring out the best way to achieve that, but what I can tell you is that I DO have problems backing up if on any kind of incline, or in a dip, etc. Most of the time I've gotten myself out of a jam, but I still can't get out of our garage, ha ha! It is not level and there is a dip right outside the door, so usually hubby has to give me a push.
But overall, I do love the Street Bob, and if you find it not quite low enough, as mentioned by various people, there are ways to get it to fit.
I think I only saw one other reference to it, but have you considered the Softail Deluxe? I know you asked about Dyna models which is appropriate in this forum, but just thought I'd offer the suggestion.
I really love the nostalgic styling; but, the two times I've taken them for a test ride, it convinced me I could never ride one. I'm 6'4" with 36" inseam and for me it's more uncomfortable than riding with mid-mount pegs. However, I've seen numerous things which suggest that they are really popular among women riders and men of diminutive stature.

On the topic of lowering. A lot of people have mentioned you can get the bike you like and simply lower it so it fits you. The problem is, when lowering you're replacing the standard shocks with shorter ones, this gives you less travel on the shocks which means a stiffer ride and more importantly reduces the amount of lean your bike is capable of before scraping the pegs. Also, if you lower you might find your self scraping the under carriage when going over large speed bumps in parking lots.
I've read about these problems others have had on this forum, so I'm not making this up.
Maybe you'll get some more ideas when we go to sturgis this year. There otta be lots of bikes there to look at, or so I've heard.

Not saying this just because it's what I got but for more touring I think the Fat Bob is the best bike. I also think it sits comparably low to the Low Rider so you shouldn't have any trouble reaching the ground.
