If you are new to streetbikes and with your size you might want to look at a Sporty.
I'd have to agree. Check out a 1200L or 883L, both nice bikes. Light and easy to move around, plenty of power. With a low seat should fit you perfectly.
Test ride the models you like to make sure you like dynas. Then choose the model you like most. As other have said they can all quite easily be modified to meet your needs (perhaps apart from the Fat Bob which has forward controls; can be done but should be expensive). You can get lower rear shocks, a lower seat, change the handle bar to one that is easier to reach etc. So if a particular model grabs you, go for it. I remember reading about a female forum member who was your height, and modified a wide glide to make her fit (wide glides provide an even bigger challenge than Fat Bobs to reach the forward controls). So anything is possible. BTW try to get the dealer to include some of the eventual mods you'll need for free. Whatever you decide, enjoy your new ride.

To the OP:
My boss is about your height and currently rides a Sportster 1200L. She wishes every time she sees my FXDC that she had gotten that one instead. She says the Dyna is much easier to ride than her Sporty, even tho she isn't quite as flat footed on the Dyna as she is on her Sporty.
The problem with trying ,be it renting or demo is that none of the bikes are set up for the vertically challenged. I doubt dealers are going to change bars, seats and shocks for one test ride or will they.Would be nice if they did then they,d sell more bikes to the babes. Do you think a dealer would set up one for a rental ?
