Default What is the difference between a PCIII and a PC5

I know that the PC5 is newer, but what really makes it better. I have tried to google some information, but I really cant seem to find anything on this matter. I called Fuel Motto yesterday and for the price difference it sounds like I should go with the PC5. I plan on picking one up on pay day and would like to get some of your professional opinions.

I bought one a week ago and there is a foot of snow outside so I won't be able to tell how it performs but it is much smaller and easily installs. It is supposed to be much more tunable and there is an autotune that you can buy to piggy back the system. Call Jaime at fuel moto for specifics but it should be as good of course and even better than the pcIII. Good luck man.

From what I read they are better, half the size of PCIII (which is good as they have to stay on the bike), and specifically designed for 2009 models. So I'd say go for PCV. PCV also works with both XP and Vista operating systems (not sure about PCIII).

I believe the biggest difference is the ability of the PC5 to couple with an auto-tune module complete with wide band O2 sensors. Not sure the PCIII has that capability.

So with the auto tune feature on the PCV. It turns your system back into a open system from a closed system?

Just the opposite. With the autotune module, it keeps your system complete as a closed loop system.

withOUT the auto-tune feature, you're running in open-loop.
EDIT: I meant to type without:

How about Windows 7? SERT (old dosn't even work in Vista) Like all have said smaller, auto tune to use with your closed loop system which most after market tuners eliminate . The MOCO has done RD on it and you would hope it has some merit to it but I could be wrong.

a couple of factors led to my decision to buy one

1:the auto-tune upgrade makes it interesting to my possibly down the road
2:the size difference compared to PC3
3:Jamie at Fuel-moto was very helpful, had a couple conversations with him on phone, and he really took the time to explain things, and answerd all my questions-a great guy.
4:it was around $10.00 more than a PC3.
